Frequently asked

How do I cancel my subscription?

Subscriptions are managed by Apple, not by MindQuay, so you cancel through iOS:

  • Open the Settings app on your iPhone.
  • Tap your name at the top (Apple Account).
  • Tap Subscriptions.
  • Tap MindQuay, then tap Cancel Subscription.

You keep access until the end of the period you've already paid for. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.

How does the free trial work?

The annual plan ($39.99/year) includes a 7-day free trial. You get full access to everything during the trial, and nothing is charged up front. When the trial ends, the annual price is charged automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends. You can cancel anytime in iOS Settings > Apple Account > Subscriptions.

How do I restore purchases on a new phone?

Make sure you're signed in with the same Apple Account you used to subscribe, then open MindQuay and go to Settings > Restore purchases. Your subscription will be recognized right away.

Where is my data stored?

On your device, and only on your device. MindQuay stores everything locally using Apple's SwiftData. There is no account, no server, and no sync. Your thoughts never leave your phone.

How do I delete my data?

Open MindQuay and go to Settings > Delete all my data. Everything is erased instantly. Because all data lives on your device, deleting the app itself also removes everything; there is no copy anywhere else.

Why don't the soundscapes ever repeat?

Harbor Waves, Quiet Rain, and Still Water aren't recordings — they are synthesized live on your device, moment by moment. Because the sound is generated procedurally rather than played from a file, it never loops and no two sessions ever sound quite the same.

Does MindQuay work offline?

Yes. The docking ritual, soundscapes, breathing pacer, and weekly review all work completely offline, because nothing depends on a server. The only thing that needs an internet connection is purchasing or restoring a subscription, which goes through Apple.

Is MindQuay a therapy or medical app?

No. MindQuay is a self-care tool for winding down and clearing your head. It is not medical care, therapy, or a crisis service, and it is not a substitute for professional help. If you're struggling, please reach out to a qualified professional. If you're in crisis in the US, call or text 988 to reach the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.

Refunds

All purchases are processed by Apple, so refunds are handled by Apple as well; MindQuay can't issue them directly. To request a refund, visit reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in with your Apple Account, and choose the MindQuay purchase. If you run into trouble, email us at [email protected] and we'll point you in the right direction.
